Mastering Spotlight Search on macOS Tahoe
Spotlight is more than just a search bar; it is the fastest way to navigate your Mac, find information, and perform quick tasks without opening specific applications.
Accessing Spotlight
To open Spotlight, press:
Cmd + SpaceA search bar will appear in the center of your screen. To close it, press Esc or click anywhere else on the screen.
Launching Applications
The most common use for Spotlight is launching apps without touching the mouse.

Cmd + Space. - Type the first few letters of the app name (e.g., "Chr" for Chrome, "Ter" for Terminal).

Finding Files
Spotlight indexes your entire system. You can search for files by name, content, or metadata.

- Dictionary: Type a word to see its definition.
